Among Danish furniture designers, Hans J. Wegner, is probably best known for his iconic Wishbone Chair. His knowledge of wood and innovative use of materials is why he is known as the master of the chair. He first used  woven paper cord, during World War II, on the CH25 lounge chair as a replacement for seagrass. It had not been used in furniture before. However, Wegner was enthusiastic about the look of the material and its non-stretching and optimal durability. It has since become a standard seating material. 

The Wishbone Counter Stool is the taller version of one of the most classic designs from the mid century modern era.
